2. Processed Meats
The list of processed foods that we can buy at any supermarket is surprisingly long. It includes all types of things people eat every day without even thinking how harmful they are. There you will see hot dogs, various sausages, bacon, lunch meats, for instance, pimento loaf and bologna. What makes all those processed meats so dangerous. The fact that cannot be denied is that manufacturers add too much salt and different chemicals. They make the product’s shelf life endless, but they definitely make your live shorter! People who consume more than 160 grams of processed meats increase the risk of early death. The study lasted for more than 12 years. During the experiment, experts proved that the risk of early death increases by 44% in comparison to those who do not eat more than 20 grams of processed meats a day.
