The following four items are not supposed to be stored in the refrigerator. All of the foods mentioned below do not need low temperatures to stay fresh.

1. Onions

Who like moldy and soft onions? We don’t and we guess neither do you. If so, take your onions out of the fridge if that’s where you keep the vegetables. Unpeeled onions can be safely stored in room temperature. Onions love well ventilated places and hate plastic bags and cold places. Only if the onion is peeled should you put it into a container, cover it and place it in the fridge.

2. Coffee

Both beans and ground coffee should be stored in a cool place. It does not mean that coffee needs cold and low temperatures. Find a dry and dark spot for your coffee beans and ground coffee. The product will stay fresh and retain its flavor and taste. The fridge is not the best place for coffee. But if you must keep it in the cooler, then what we do recommend is to keep coffee in an airtight bag.
