Here is a list of five things to do when painting your nails.

1. No more than three strokes

One of the basic things to remember while painting your nails is that you should not apply the polish in more than three strokes. Open the bottle and dip the brush. Get a bead of varnish at the edge of the brush. Let the varnish do the work. It should spread out when you apply it on the nail. Guide the bead of polish with the brush. Start at the base of the nail and then perform one stroke to the left, then right and, finally, the center.

2. Cuticle oil is extremely useful

Use this nail care product religiously. It makes your nails look as if you have just been to the salon. Cuticle oil hydrates the nail bed and skin around your nails. You can apply the oil over the whole nail after you have completed painting your nails. Oil will nourish your nails, protect them from damage and heal them at the same time.
