We cannot make you young again. However, there are a few tricks to help you speed up your metabolism and make it run faster.
1. Start strength training
If you eat the right selection of foods and exercise on a regular basis, it means your chances of making your metabolism run faster significantly increase. If you are a beginner and this is your first time in the gym, then you should learn a few important rules in order to make your workout routine more effective. Professionals recommend strength training 2-3 per week if your goal is to increase your lean muscle mass. Muscles burn up to 8 times as many calories. Practice weight lifting – you will strengthen and develop muscles and burn fat at the same time. Strength training won’t let your body lose lean muscle mass.
2. Do not ignore the importance of sleep
The importance of sleep is sometimes underestimated. Healthy metabolism needs you to give it some good rest at night. If you do not get enough sleep, you won’t allow your body to produce ghrelin and leptin – the hormones that are responsible for your appetite. The less you sleep, the hungrier you feel! This is what makes you overeat. More than that, people who do not sleep enough tend to choose the wrong foods hence gain weight.
