3. Frequent Infections
Frequent infections bother people who have lupus. They are also prone to other illnesses. The reason is the way in which immune system responses to bacteria attacking the patient’s body. Lupus is treated with special drugs that weaken the immune system and reduces its natural abilities to fight infections. Once you notice that you caught an infection, do not delay your visit to your doctor.
4. Sensitivity of the Fingers and Toes
Lupus may also cause another health issue – sensitivity of the fingers and toes. These body parts can turn either white or blue if exposed to low temperatures and cold. The same happens if the patient is going through stress. This symptom is also called Raynaud’s phenomenon.
