3. Swelling
Liver cancer affects other areas and organs of the human body. Some certain changes in lymph nodes and blood vessels can be caused by the disease. One of the symptoms is a build-up of fluid known as ascites. The patient then notices that his abdomen is hard and protruding. This swelling can have different reasons and nature. It occurs if damaged cells spread to the abdomen and irritate the tissue. The cell can also increase pressure in the veins that are responsible for draining. Sometimes cancer cells block the lymphatic system. Ascites is a serious issue. Do not procrastinate and consult a professional. The fluid can be drained away only in hospital.
4. Yellowing Skin and Eyes
Once your bile ducts get blocked, the bile from the liver will start flowing into the bloodstream, although it is supposed to flow into the small intestine. The symptoms of blocked bile ducts are yellow whites of the eyes and yellow skin. The symptom is also called jaundice. Besides yellowing, you may experience severe itch since the toxins circulate in your body and poison you. Some other signs of jaundice include dark urine and light colored stools. Jaundice does not always mean that you have liver cancer, however, immediate medical assistance is needed anyways.
