5. Cold water swimming burns more calories
We burn more calories in cold water. In order to keep our body as warm as possible the heart pumps much faster. In warm water we feel relaxed and too lazy to waste our energy. Some believe that drinking cold water may help you burn extra calories – this might be just a myth, though. What is already an established fact is that swimming in cold water does help you get thinner. Most of the cold water swimmers are in great shape.
