4. Checking out Your Vitamin D Level
Testing is an easy way to find out the level of vitamin D in your blood. It is also known as 25-hydroxyvitamin D test. It is said that if you want to maintain good bone health, your blood should contain 20 nanograms of vitamin D per milliliter (ng/mL). In some cases you might be advised to increase that level up to 30 ng/mL – that’s the amount of vitamin D a person needs to have good health.
