Every bride wants to look her best on the big day. Most brides start getting in shape long before the event.

If you are one of the ladies who are getting married in the near future, we would like to share a few dieting tips with you. They will help you get in shape pretty quickly.

1. Measuring Up

Before you start your diet, we suggest you should find the best way(s) to track your results. Do not gauge your success by kilos lost. Your daily or weekly weigh-ins is not all you should do. Another way to see how your progress is to take measurements of your body parts where fat is accumulated: thighs, arms, and waist. If you lift weights and go to the gym on a regular basis, it is very likely that you gain lean muscle mass and lose fat. Your scales in this case will show some weight gain! However, your measurements will definitely tell you that you are getting in better shape. From now on trust your tape, not your scales.

2. Ask Someone to Join You

Recruiting another person is a good idea. You will then be able to compete and see who is more successful. Keep in mind, though, that men tend to lose weight faster since they have more muscles. If you compete with a man (your beloved, brother, dad, etc.) you are likely to lose the battle. In order to avoid disappointment, ask another woman to join you on a diet. You mom, sister, maid of honor or any of your friends is the best option. Your diet buddy will keep you motivated and more focused on your goals. Whenever you feel like giving up on dieting, you’ll have a person whom you can call and ask for support.
