Your environment determines your happiness. So does your genetics. However, these two factors make up 60% of how happy you feel. The rest 40% is your own attitude and response.
1. You need to have a growth mindset
‘Growth mindset’ is a term invented by Carol Dweck. The author of the book titled Mindset claims that you cannot be happy unless you have a ‘fixed’ mindset. Rather, we need to have a growth mindset to live a happy life. Carol explains the reader how important it is to take challenges and never be afraid of failures. Improving and developing new abilities and skills should be our priority. According to her, affirmation of worth and intelligence is success.
2. You need to have a dream
Keep moving forward. Think about your future. Do not look back, otherwise your present will be miserable. Have a dream and do something to make it reality. Your goal could be a trip to a distant land or buying a big house. Stay optimistic and you will succeed. Your attitude matters!
