3. Join other active commuters
It takes around 40 minutes to walk two miles. This is based on an average pedestrian moving at a speed of 3 miles an hour. Since most of us work within a couple of miles of their bus station, probably it’s a waste of cash to pay for gasoline to fill up your private vehicle. Use underground trains to go to work. Additionally, you’ll do some exercise and get in better shape.
4. Let your kids get out of the car
Your kids can walk to school. If the distance is significant, then they can use public transport. It is even better if they can ride a bike to reach their destination. Instead of filling up your family car to drive your children to school, you can always find a better, healthier and cheaper alternative.
