3. Don’t forget to do not disturb

If you need to leave your room for a few hours yet do not want to take valuable items such as jewelry, camera, laptop, use the ‘Do Not Disturb’ card. Use it even when you simply do not want people to bother you. Neither the hotel staff nor potential intruders hunting for your belongings will dare enter the room while you are away.

4. Business cards as key cards

Take a couple of business cards even if you are planning travelling for pleasure only. Not only can you meet interesting people who are related to your work. Besides new contacts and business partners, there is another thing you can do with your business cards. Use your card as a key card if the power in your hotel needs one. Keep the original with you just in case you are absent-minded and tend to constantly leave the key card in the room.
