Are you a person with a generous heart? Then we suggest you should consider a non-profit job. It is a very fulfilling activity that will make everybody happy and inspire you to move forward. Commitment is highly appreciated. However, this is not a must and you can leave your job whenever you feel like doing so. If you are a retired person, you are very likely to have plenty of spare time to use to help others. There are a lot of jobs to do: clerical work, event hosting, fundraising and even planning. Find a local non-profit organization and ask them what you can do for them and what kind of assistance they need. Some of such organizations have paid positions as well.

4. Event Staff
Arranging a good event is not that simple. There are a lot of various reasons why people organize them and they always need help. If you have the necessary skills, you will be well-paid for doing this kind of job. You might be appointed to be the person responsible for parking, souvenirs or ticket taking. No doubt during such event people like to have snacks and drinks to refresh themselves. If you like to assist people in choosing food or serving it, you can easily find a part-time job there. Since you are the one who is making the choice, you can always refuse to work for the event you feel you wouldn’t feel comfortable at. Which one would you like to test yourself at? Would it be a baseball game? Or maybe you would like to try out a theatrical production? Feel free to avoid undesirable event or the events that do not offer consistent schedules. However, if you decide to be one of the event staff, please be friendly, responsible and punctual.
