4. Panini Press
You will never see those easily recognizable frill lines if you use a sauté pan instead of a panini press. However, your favorite gooey and toasty sandwiches are guaranteed anyways. You will save more than 40 bucks if you do not buy a press – another good point, right? If you liked the idea, use a clean copper sauté pan. Place your Panini inside and put a heavy cast skillet on top to provide pressure. Once the food is toasted, flip it. Instead of the skillet you can try and use sauté pan. Use a few cans of vegetables or soup to weigh the thing down. Or, if need be, wrap a brick in aluminum foil and place it on top.
