3. Passeio Público and Cinelândia
Passeio Público is well-known park that is located close to Avenida Beira-Mar. The spot was designed in the late 1770s by several talented artists. It is the oldest park in Brazil and one of the oldest parks in America. The sculptures that stand in the park were created by Mestre Valentim while pavilions are decorated with paintings by Joaquim. You will find out about mythology from the statues, relax by one of the fountains, walk a beautiful stone staircase and observe the green space around. Do not miss the Marina da Glória and remember to visit Parque do Flamengo. The gardens that you will see were created by modern designers. 4. Ipanema and Leblon
Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas is a nice shore. It is lined by sports clubs and parks. People come here to practice water sports. The place is also popular for regattas. There is a nice lagoon the west side of which is famous for the Botanic Garden representing over 5.000 species of flora from all around the world.
