1. Spend a lot of money

2. Be early for your flight

Your flight might have a couple of upgrade places available for passenger. If you want to increase your chances of taking them, please show up at the airport much earlier than you need. Arriving at the airport a few hours before the departure is a smart idea. Even if you do not get a flight upgrade, you will kill the time at the nearest cafeteria or bar. Another good thing is you will not need to line up in the queue. If you are lucky, you will then be offered spare seats in first class for free. Smile and be friendly to the check-in lady and she might let you make a choice and allow you to get an upgrade.
