3. Be ready to compromise on and make the move.
Renting a new place is not a bad idea at all. However, if you do not make enough or simply want to save, decide who is going to make the move. How convenient will it be for you to commute to work if it is you who is moving in? Also, think well how much space it will take you to keep your items in your new place and whether the area is spacious enough for both of you.
4. Talk about your budget and finances.
This is quite a sensitive topic and not all people are willing to openly discuss it. Nevertheless, it’s impossible to ignore either, especially if you’re moving in with your partner. If your guy is ready to pay for everything, then the problem is solved. If you want to split rent, utilities and stuff, then you should definitely talk about it.
5. Agree to give yourselves some time alone.
It’s great if you enjoy each other’s company and do everything together. However, we recommend you should always set aside some time for yourself. Both your partner and you need some time alone. Do not turn into an old-fashioned married couple whose life is predictable and boring. Give yourselves some time alone. If not, spend it doing something you enjoy: working out or meeting friends, etc.
