3. Inability to let kids go
Helicopter parents usually keep their kids on a tight chain. They feel that they need to be in control all the time. They want to see what’s happening to their kid 24/7. During vacation they make their kids wear floaties, lifejackets and other items that are needed to save their kids’ life in case of emergency.
4. Demands and commands are shouted
What makes helicopter parents so different from other types of parents is their habit to shout commands. More than that, they expect their kids to obey and do as they are told. Questioning is not allowed. Children should respect their parents, but parents, in turn, should explain to their kids why they asked them to do this or that.
